Sprinkler upgrade project in Main Building starts Dec. 5 & continues in spring
As part of the final phase in completing the new Health Simulation (SIM) Lab, an upgrade to sprinkler systems throughout the Clifton Campus Main Building will begin on Monday, December 5.
This project will include the first, second, and third floors of the Main Building, and is scheduled to conclude in March 2023.
During the project, some unavoidable, intermittent hammering and drilling noise will occur as new piping is installed, and some materials may need to be placed in hallways prior to installation.
- All efforts will be made to keep construction noise to a minimum during times classes are in session, especially during the final week of Fall Semester.
- Construction work is limited to hallways and corridors, and will involve removing ceiling tiles and then working overhead.
- Work on the 1st floor is projected to be completed in January, the 2nd floor in February, and the 3rd floor in March. However, the projected schedule may be need to adjusted as work progresses. Updates to the College community will be provided as needed.
- Safety considerations will be given utmost importance throughout the project.
