Safety “care packages” delivered to division & department offices for a clean start to Fall

The Facilities Department has been delivering sanitizing/disinfecting “care kits” to all division and department offices and student support service areas, with final deliveries slated for today, August 26.

The care kit includes the items above. They are (from left):

• Force2 Disinfecting Wipes – These wipes have been in use at the College in the past. Canisters of wipes can be placed in areas where cleaning and disinfecting is needed for hard, non-porous surfaces (such as tables, counters, and phones) that may be touched by more than one person.
  
  Classrooms are supplied with large containers of disinfecting wipes. If a faculty member needs more wipes for a classroom or lab, let your Dean (or division designee) know.  
• Jet Hand Sanitizer (small spray bottle) – The small hand sanitizer bottle dispenses a mist spray, and is best suited for individual workspaces or reception areas where someone can ensure the small bottle does not “walk away.”
• Jet Hand Sanitizer (1-gallon bottle with hand pump) – The large bottle can be placed at any location. Please remember that the hand pump should be reused on a new bottle after the original container is empty.
• Purell Surface Disinfectant (1-quart bottle with spray nozzle) – You can lightly spray the disinfectant on any surface and allow the product to air dry, or you can spray a heavier amount and wipe with paper towels. Both ways of cleaning are effective. Please remember that the spray nozzle should be reused on a new bottle after the original container is empty.
