CState Nursing & Respiratory programs featured on WVXU
Cincinnati State students and faculty members in the associate’s degree programs for Nursing and Respiratory Therapy were the focus of a story on WVXU public radio on Mar. 15, titled “COVID’s toll on health care workers didn’t deter these students.”
The story can be listened to and read on the WVXU website.
Reporter Ann Thompson interviewed Nursing Program Chair Janice Lockett and Respiratory Therapy Program Chair Mike Cheney about challenges faced during the past two years while preparing students for these “in demand” health care fields.
Several students were interviewed also about their reasons for seeking degrees in these fields.
In the story, Nursing student Naomi Chi said, “We make this pledge to care for people and to do no harm and put our best foot forward– and if not us, then who else would do it?”
