Superior Dental Care is CState’s new dental insurance provider
Effective April 1, 2022, dental insurance coverage for Cincinnati State employees is moving to Superior Dental Care.
- Superior offers one of the largest dental networks in the U.S.
- You can check the Superior Dental Care website at www.superiordental.com/find-a-dentist to see if your dentist participates in the network.
- Benefits are also available from dental providers who are not part of the Superior Dental Care network, but you may have additional costs for out-of-network services.
Current dental coverage will automatically transition from Dental Care Plus to Superior Dental Care, effective Apr. 1.
- Employees will receive a new Dental ID card, mailed to your home address before Apr. 1.
- You do not need to do anything unless you wish to make a change to your current dental coverage.
If you wish to make a change:
- Complete the Superior Dental Care Enrollment Form with your desired changes.
- Return the signed Enrollment Form to Human Resources no later than Mar. 25, 2022.
- Making changes to your dental coverage will delay delivery of the new dental card, but you can access your temporary ID card on the Superior Dental website.
Employees will have another opportunity to make changes to your benefit choices during the Open Enrollment period for the benefits plan year that will begin July 1, 2022.
- More information about Open Enrollment will be provided by Human Resources later in Spring Semester.

- Horan is the College’s insurance broker.
- Requests for assistance must be made no later than Apr. 15, 2022.
