Surge Cupboard seeks volunteers to assist Spring students
The Surge Cupboard needs volunteers to help keep the Food Pantry available to Spring Semester students who are dealing with food insecurities.
- During Fall Semester 2021, 70 students used the Food Pantry, with numbers ranging from 12 to 30 students each month.
- Currently-registered Cincinnati State students may visit the Surge Cupboard once a month to receive up to a 3-day supply of food and toiletries at no cost, by showing their Surge Card (student ID card).
Giving an hour of your time to support students will be greatly appreciated!
Volunteers are needed when the Food Pantry is open:
- Tuesdays – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Wednesdays – noon to 2 p.m.
- Thursdays – 1 to 3 p.m.
After you sign up, you will receive more information about what to expect when you work as a Surge Cupboard volunteer.

- The first Spring Semester Farmer’s Market is scheduled for Feb. 17, starting at 11:30 a.m. The location will be announced.
