Welcome Institutional Research Director Mollie Miller
Mollie Miller is Cincinnati State’s new Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.
Mollie joined the College this month after working as the Associate Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness at Miami University in Oxford, and Director of Institutional Research and IRB Coordinator at Union Institute & University in Cincinnati.
Her previous responsibilities included preparing mandatory and ad hoc external reporting such as IPEDS, the Ohio Higher Education Information system (HEI), and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), as well as responding to various external surveys, such as US News.
Mollie also worked closely with data analysts to create and update routine reports and create visual dashboards, and she assisted with the interpretation and implementation of information provided.
Mollie served as the President, Treasurer, and State Sector Representative for the Ohio Association of Institutional Research & Planning (OAIRP) from 2017 to 2021. With the Association of Institutional Research (AIR) Mollie contributes to the eAIR Editorial Committee, serves on the eForum Editorial Board, and is a peer reviewer.
Mollie is a current candidate for a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies, majoring in Educational Studies, at the Union Institute and University, and she plans to defend her dissertation this year. In addition to her doctoral studies, Mollie is also pursuing two graduate certificates in Higher Education Leadership and Design Thinking.
Mollie earned a post-doctoral certificate in Q Methodologies Studies from Kent State University, an MBA from Capital University specializing in Marketing Analytics, and an undergraduate degree from Heidelberg University, where she was a Division II student athlete as a member of the varsity softball team.
Mollie and her husband welcomed twins Jackson and Amelia in November 2021. The family lives in Batavia, Ohio, along with their English Bulldog, Brisket.
