Scenes from Drive-Through Commencement 2021
More than 200 Cincinnati State Class of 2021 graduates, and their friends, family members, and even one family cat, joined the Drive-Through Commencement event on June 26 in sedans, SUVs, convertibles, and trucks to receive recognition and congratulations from Dr. Monica Posey, the four academic Deans, and some College faculty and staff members.
It was an event unlike other Cincinnati State graduation ceremonies… but no less meaningful for those in attendance.
Registrar/Senior Manager of Enrollment Jason Moore said many of the participating grads “decided at the last minute” to take part in the event.
Each graduate received a traditional diploma cover, two commencement programs, a static sticker for their car, and a Cincinnati State padfolio.
Daily News thanks photo-journalist Betsy LaSorella for sharing numerous moments from the morning portion of the drive-through event. Jason Moore and Patricia Christos also provided some glimpses of the day’s proceedings.
