Go outside and help clean up a park!
The Celebrating Community Committee invites all members of the Cincinnati State community to join an outdoor, COVID-safe volunteering opportunity.
On Saturday, June 5, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., the CState volunteers will help clean up litter and clear out invasive plant species around the Campbell Lake Preserve (10431 Campbell Road, Harrison, OH 45030).
Students, faculty, and staff members (and families or friends of CState students and employees) are welcome to register and join the group.
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Space is limited, and registration is required.
- Please complete your registration by end of day on Wednesday, June 2.
- In addition, participants must complete the online waiver form (one for each person): https://www.jotform.com/greatparks/2021-great-parks-waiver
- If this event fills up, CCC will set up another volunteering opportunity with Great Parks of Hamilton County.
On the event day:
- Wear your Cincinnati State gear!
- Plan to arrive a few minutes early to get oriented.
- We’ll start by hearing from Conservation and Parks Technician Alex Hearing with an overview of the park, the project, and the safety protocols. Then any needed supplies will be distributed.
- The park will provide water and some water bottles for volunteers, or feel free to bring your own refillable bottle.
