President Monica Posey, Provost Robbin Hoopes, and Associate Provost Denise Rohr are happy to welcome and introduce to the College community the new team members in the Executive Suite, Angelica Kennedy and Tamaree Smith.

Angelica Kennedy is the Executive Assistant to President Posey and the Office Manager of the Executive Suite.

  • In addition, Angelica handles student academic concerns and manages various outreach projects to build strong community relationships, such as the College’s work with the 2020 Census.

Angelica has over 20 years of diverse experience working in higher education, starting as a student worker in the admissions office at the University of Cincinnati.

After several years at UC, Angelica became the Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Good Samaritan College of Nursing.

Angelica earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication and a master’s in Education from the University of Cincinnati.

Angelica stated, “Throughout my career, I have worked in several President’s offices, and I enjoy working with a diverse population of students that includes first-generation students like me.”

“I hope to continue Dr. Posey’s work to create opportunities for members of the Cincinnati State community to reach their highest potential,” she added.

In her spare time, Angelica enjoys karaoke, cooking, spending time with her family and “grand pup,” working with her church, and creating documentaries to encourage and support the community.

Tamaree “Tammy” Smith is the Executive Assistant to Provost Robbin Hoopes and Associate Provost Denise Rohr.

In addition to day-to-day functions in the Executive Office, Tamaree will focus on assisting the College in meeting and maintaining Higher Learning Commission (HLC) expectations for accreditation.

She also assisted other program chairs in the HPS division in scheduling resources for their accreditation visits.

Tamaree has over 20 years of experience providing administrative support for upper management, including serving as the assistant to a unit director at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Tammy said, “I’m looking forward to serving the College community in this new role.”

Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and she is active in her church.
