“Weekly Wellness Walking” returns
Some of you may remember “Walking Wednesdays,” an on-campus wellness activity that was gearing up for Spring 2020 right around the time everything started shutting down.
The Weekly Walking Subcommittee of the Celebrating Community Committee is pleased to announce that Weekly Walking (on Clifton Campus, or wherever you are working) is resuming, starting today, Mar. 22.
Zoom Wellness Walk Lunch Breaks will begin at 12:01 p.m. each Monday for the rest of Spring Semester. To participate:
- Join the Zoom event at https://us04web.zoom.us/j/72308592052?pwd=RklXVldQaFRHTVNzaFltUmlIcGpvQT09 (presumably you’ll use your phone, or maybe your tablet, so you aren’t walking while also attempting to carry a laptop)
- Walk (somewhere) for 7 minutes
- Turn around and return to your starting point
- Enjoy the rest of your lunch break while chatting with friends
Those who can’t get away for a walk are invited to stand up and stretch, or just step away from your work tasks for a few minutes.
And even if you don’t log in to walk with the group, remember that taking breaks and staying active (even a little) is good for your health!
