Professor Emeritus recommendations due to Faculty Senate by Mar. 8
The designation “Professor Emeritus” honors a retired Cincinnati State faculty member for their outstanding contributions to the College throughout their career.
Faculty members have received additional information about submitting Professor Emeritus recommendations to the Faculty Senate no later than Monday, Mar. 8.
- Professor Emeritus is an honorary status conferred by the Faculty Senate, with the endorsement of the College President.
- A recommendation letter for conferral of Professor Emeritus status may be prepared by any full-time, tenured faculty member on behalf of a recently-retired colleague. Recommendations are then voted on by all full-time, tenured faculty.
- Newly-designated emeritus professors are recognized during the annual Faculty Excellence Awards celebration.
