Main Building Recovery Project – New Chillers arriving on Feb. 12

On Friday, Feb. 12, Cincinnati State will take delivery of two new chillers for the Main Building.

Chillers are an essential component of an efficient heating, air conditioning, and ventilation system.
The new chillers replace equipment that was damaged by the water leak that occurred in August.

VP of Administration Lawra Baumann said the new chillers will arrive on two semi trucks. A third semi with a crane will be on site also, to lift the chillers from the trucks onto College Drive in front of the Main Building.

Then a large tent will be erected over the chillers to provide protection for the next week, since each chiller must be partially deconstructed to be moved into location in the Boiler/Mechanical Room in Main.

Employees and students are reminded that vehicles and foot traffic are not permitted on College Drive in front of Main.
