It’s time to return your Library books on Clifton Campus
If you have Cincinnati State Library books and/or OhioLINK books you borrowed 10 or more months ago, you can finally return all of those books!
- A new Library Book Drop (seen at right) is now available, outside the Health & Public Safety Division Office, on the third floor of the Health Professions Building (HPB) on Clifton Campus.
- If you take the elevator to the 3rd floor of the HPB, you’ll see the Book Drop just ahead, on your right.
Due dates for items borrowed from Cincinnati State have been extended to May 7, 2021, so if you can’t return items right away, it’s OK.
- Items borrowed via OhioLINK don’t have extended due dates, but late fees and fines for items that came due starting in March 2020 will be waived after these items are returned.
- Fines are not waived for items that were due prior to the campus shut-down in March 2020 (so if you owed $5 for an item in February 2020, you still owe $5).
Please wait 10 days before contacting the Library about items you returned that are still listed in your Library Account.
- All returned items are quarantined for 4 days before being “checked-in.”
- Also, the physical Library in the Main Building is closed and staff are not on campus daily to empty the Book Drop, so up to a week is needed to process returns, plus additional time needed to return items to other Ohio libraries via OhioLINK.
- After OhioLINK items are processed, fines/bills will be manually removed from Library Accounts.
If you have questions, send email to library@cincinnatistate.edu, or use instant messaging during Library Virtual Help hours.
