In the Zone meeting on Oct. 28 features State Senator discussing Ohio Fairness Act

All members of the College community are invited to a Zoom virtual meeting of the “In the Zone” student organization on Wednesday, Oct. 28, starting at 9 a.m., featuring a discussion with Ohio State Senator Nickie Antonio about the status of the Ohio Fairness Act.

Professor Ronnie Gladden, the In the Zone advisor, will interview Senator Antonio, who represents portions of Cuyahoga County in northeastern Ohio.

The Ohio Fairness Act legislation under consideration by the State Senate would add sexual orientation and gender identity or expression to the laws that make discrimination illegal in Ohio.

Discussion will include how this proposed legislation can benefit Ohioans, especially during disruptive times.
