The Plant Sale is happening! (with social distancing)

The annual Horticulture Club Spring Plant Sale is taking place this month-- with a few modifications.

  • You'll place your order using a new eForm (link below). A minimum order of $20 is required, and orders must be placed using the eForm, not via email messages.

  • You'll be notified when your order is ready for pick-up at the Clifton Campus Greenhouse.
    • Pick-up dates are June 4, 9, 11, 16, and 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

    • You'll stay in your car and your order will be loaded into your vehicle.

    • You must pay by credit or debit card.

To view the list of available flowers, plants, and vegetables-- and place your order-- please complete the eForm Plants for Sale (https://web3.cincinnatistate.edu/eforms/eform.aspx?form_id=1945)

  • After you fill out the eForm, it will be routed to Greenhouse Manager Kelly Wanstrath, who will complete your order.
    • Be aware that some plants have limited quantities available. If Kelly can't fulfill your order as requested, she'll call and let you know.

(Obviously, ordering early gives you the best chance of getting your first choices.)

    • Kelly also will call to let you know when your order is ready for pick-up.

Note: The eForm lists scientific and "popular" names for the plants on sale.

Proceeds from the Plant Sale help support Horticulture Club activities.

If you have questions, send a message to Kelly (kelly.wanstrath@cincinnatistate.edu).

Would you rather Zoom than Collaborate? (Survey needs your input)

The Information Technology Services Department (ITS) and the College-wide Academic Technology Committee (ATC) are seeking input on preferences for the video conferencing platform(s) the College should pay for and support.

In recent months, many faculty and staff members have significantly increased use of video conferencing platforms such as Blackboard Collaborate, Zoom, and other platforms-- so your opinions can help contribute to the decision-making.

  • Please take a moment to complete a brief survey about your video conferencing experiences at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ConferenceTools

  • A decision must be made within a short time frame, so please provide your response by 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 4.

ITS and ATC appreciate your assistance.

June 3 is last day students can add Summer classes without instructor permissiion

Today, June 3, is the last day students can register for a 10-week Summer class (that has space available) without first getting permission from the instructor or Dean.

  • To enter an open class today, students must send email to the Registrar’s Office at ro@cincinnatistate.edu.

Starting on Thursday, June 4, students will need permission from the instructor and the Dean (or designee) to enter a class.

  • Instructors should follow the process identified by their department or division for adding students to a class.

Faculty members with questions should check with their division Dean, or their program or department chair.
