Transfer Center releases Feb. calendar & welcomes new coordinator

The new Coordinator of the College's Transfer Center is Dr. Myshamil Walker, a Cincinnati State graduate who has served the College in a variety of roles over the past several years.

Dr. Walker has taught Academic Foundations Math classes for the past seven years. Previously, she served as the Tutor for PTEC Welding, Machine Operator, and Supply Chain students, and as COMPASS Bootcamp Coordinator.

After completing her Associate of Arts degree at Cincinnati State, Dr. Walker earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Union Institute and University, a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction in Mathematics Education from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership & Management from Capella University.

She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the Cincinnati Chapter of Business and Professional Women, and Test Prep and Tutoring Professionals, as well as an alumni AmeriCorps member.

Dr. Walker has been recognized by several organizations for her contributions and skills as an educator.

The Transfer Center schedule for February visits from representatives of four-year colleges and universities is now available.

Students who are thinking about transfer to a bachelor's degree program after graduating from CState are encouraged to meet with visiting schools and get more information about educational options-- and say hello to Dr. Walker while you are visiting the Transfer Center!

No appointment is required; just stop by the Transfer Center in ATLC Room 221 on Clifton Campus, near Bakery Hill. The Transfer Center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
